About paper boxes, usually divided into three types：paper board box, corrugated box, and gift box.
NO. 1 Paper Board Box
Paper board box are often used as inner packaging, and commonly used materials include: white cardboard, kraft paper, black cardboard, and silver paper.
1. White Cardboard: White cardboard is a kind of paper with bleaching chemical pulping as the main raw material, its surface is smooth, the paper is firm and thick, which is very suitable for printing and product packaging, and the general quantity is more than 150g/㎡. Its advantages are low printing cost, good toughness, folding, and environmental protection.
2. Kraft Paper: Kraft paper is divided into white kraft paper, yellow kraft paper,etc. Kraft paper has a high tensile strength and break resistance, suitable for large load bearing packaging. Kraft paper has a lower cost, is an economical packaging material, and is an environmentally friendly material, in line with modern environmental protection concepts. But there are also some disadvantages, such as not very waterproof and if we want to do 4C printing, the actual color will be darker, so we generally take single black or single white printing.
3. Black Cardboard: If the design of the box is simple, we recommend using black cardboard. We can do single white printing, plus some hot stamping, can achieve a simple and advanced effect. We are generally used for small packaging boxes or gift boxes, not much for corrugated boxes.
4. Silver / Gold Paper: If you want the packaging to have a metallic effect, we can use gold and silver paper, gold and silver make the packaging look more advanced. Silver paper includes brushed silver paper and laser silver paper.
NO. 2 Corrugated Box
In addition to paper board boxes, corrugated box is another type of box. The material choice for corrugated boxes is same as paper board boxes, but in addition to the need to confirm the surface material, but also need to confirm the choice of corrugated core.
Corrugated boxes are mainly divided into E corrugated and F corrugated. The thickness of the E corrugated is 2~3 mm, which is often used to make large-size boxes, and the thickness of the F corrugated is 1~1.5 mm, which is relatively hard and thin, suitable for making small-size boxes.

The most commonly used material for gift boxes is white cardboard, the same as the card box, in addition, the gift box has the following two types of commonly used surface materials, the appearance of gift box is advanced and exquisite. Leather paper is an environmentally friendly option, making it an ideal alternative for products that want to avoid animal leather but require a similar effect. The surface of leather paper is suitable for a variety of printing technologies, including screen printing, bronzing, UV coating, etc., which can enhance its appearance and texture.
